“Tarradiddle”
– HK Ocran

The affair of our very breaths
Affirms the nakedness of divine love
Your shadows envelope my piteous being and gives it warmth;
The warmth that shields me against the fiercely frozen fists of life.
This existence is filled with masquerades, and yet you made sentience out of my own mask.
My mask, whew! Rather is my nakedness, my untainted identity.
My intestines keep boiling and never get assuaged, and that I reckon, a dreadful pleasure.
My footpath is filled with the roses you fling.
As love knows not and as love knows not thyself,
It seems to me that you do not exist, yet, you are constantly present.
What do I do to requite this romance and unmerited mutuality?
When dust finally kisses us, our souls shall be freed to boundless enchantment.
We are of two disparate worlds, of two disparate dimensions, but this needs no probing,
Our alchemy is interwoven, with the finest cords of the caterpillar.
With you, I endow a living passion which burns constantly with awe.
Lest the whole world discovers passion not for itself or of its kind,
It shall never taste the ambrosia of true ardour.
