Motivation is simply an incentive, or a reason, given to assure or encourage someone to do something willingly.
Motivation is good, but over-reliance of it would even mean you need motivation to rise up from bed or to live. To a larger extent, motivation is overrated and more or less suppresses “the powerful-and-intrinsic-step-up-mechanisms” humans are made of.
We have overrated Motivation such that people feel incapacitated, consciously or unconsciously to blossom fully and to do whatever is required of them. They always look up to “The Motivation” – from counsellors, authorities, parents, friends and so on in order to live or breath – That, is such an unfortunate situation, especially for the youth, who are made of full vigor and spirit.
Motivation often occurs in two ways:
External Motivation, just does a little to spark life and bliss in us, but unfortunately, a lot of people eagerly live and expect to be motivated or stirred up by others (bosses, counsellors, parents, friends etc) or situations in order to even do the right thing. They always feel gloomy and just lost, in various dispensations of life until he listens to, or receives motivation externally.
Inner -Motivation, on the other hand, is very essential to maintain our Joy and enthusiasm. Many others who are enlightened, strive to always be intrinsically motivated by passion, compassion and love to do whatever is required of them and to live and blossom regardless of any form of happenstance. _Always let your Inner-Motivation drive all other motivations, so that you don’t suffer the absence of approval, acceptance, assistance and praise from others, but rather enjoy the full burning passion of engineering your inner-self to whatever is required for you and of you_”
Of course, we can’t completely rule out the momentary spark of vigor and enthusiasm associated with motivation (external) but the longevity and sustenance of our Joy in life, largely depends on our intrinsic or inner motivation that we always engineer to, not only give us reasons to do something, but with passion, compassion and whole-hearted love. What’s more, environmentally, nature has given us enough reasons (motivation) to thrive and to succeed. Yes, our Inner-drive and Nature, gives us ample and sustainable conditions to blossom, regardless the situation.
