WHAT ACTUALLY IS PEACE OF MIND?
“It is not uncommon to hear or see a lot of people say they want to or strive to have Peace of Mind. Everyone wants it, and it has become more or less a goal of life. So, they completely shun anyone or any situation that conflicts with their comfort or likeness.
_Unfortunately, we are living in a world full of suffering and weaknesses, so we need Compassion and Tolerance more than ever_. We are a unified unit of life, rather than separated entities, so whatever happens to a single person, in a larger dimension, affects everyone in this universe. Avoiding those “intertwined” to you socially or by family ties won’t necessarily give you that Peace of Mind in the long run. Again, more than ever, we need Compassion and Tolerance in order to safeguard our absolute Peace of Mind, in the larger picture of life.
*_This is what you should know: Real Peace of Mind is attained when we pay attention to our emotions and inner-being; If we handle our emotions to situations and people well, naturally, we enjoy Peace of Mind. It has really nothing to do with obstructions caused by people or situations outside. It’s totally more connected within, than without._*
By exercising Compassion and Tolerance towards others and situations of life, we see those giving us unpleasantness as teachers rather than evil. Yes, they teach us Tolerance, Patience and Emotional Control which are indespensable for our existence.
Yes, instead of judging and avoiding others simply because they challenge our comfort or pleasantness, let us exercises a lot of Compassion and Tolerance, so that like iron may sharpen another iron, we both reap long-lasting benefits, like true Peace of Mind.”
